Your Lee County School Board District

Five of the seven Lee County school board seats are drawn on a map and two are not. Find the district you live in, and see which seats are actually on your August 18 ballot.

Lee County elects seven school board members. Districts 1 through 5 are single-member districts drawn on a map, so only the residents of each one vote in it. Districts 6 and 7 are at-large and have no territory, so every registered voter in Lee County votes in those two seats.

The seven seats

• District 1 — Single-member district. Represented now by Samuel Fisher. On the August 18, 2026 ballot and settled that day, because two candidates qualified: Jenn McDaigle, Sam Fisher.
• District 2 — Single-member district. Represented now by Melisa W. Giovannelli. Not on the August 18, 2026 ballot.
• District 3 — Single-member district. Represented now by William F. Ribble, Jr. Not on the August 18, 2026 ballot.
• District 4 — Single-member district. Represented now by Debbie Jordan. On the August 18, 2026 ballot with 4 candidates, going to the November 3 general unless one clears 50 percent: Carl Baxter, Debbie Jordan, Gisele "Gigi" Gentile, Tony Beougher.
• District 5 — Single-member district. Represented now by Armor Persons. On the August 18, 2026 ballot with 3 candidates, going to the November 3 general unless one clears 50 percent: Armor Persons, Carline Saintilus, Crystal Johnson.
• District 6 — At-large. Represented now by Jada Langford Fleming. On the August 18, 2026 ballot and settled that day, because two candidates qualified: India Palencia, Jada Langford-Fleming.
• District 7 — At-large. Represented now by Vanessa M. Chaviano. Not on the August 18, 2026 ballot.

The rest of the August 18 ballot

Three county commissioner seats on this ballot are named for districts, but Lee County elects its commission countywide, so every registered voter in the county votes in all three. A commissioner only has to live in the district. On this ballot the seats that actually depend on where you live are the single-member school board districts and, if you live inside a city, that city's races.

• School Board, District 6 At-Large — Every Lee County voter votes in it. At-large, so it is on every Lee County ballot.
• County Commissioner, District 2 — Every Lee County voter votes in it. Elected countywide/at-large. The district is a residency requirement, not a voting boundary.
• County Commissioner, District 4 — Every Lee County voter votes in it. Elected countywide/at-large. The district is a residency requirement, not a voting boundary.
• County Commissioner, District 5 — Every Lee County voter votes in it. Elected countywide/at-large. The district is a residency requirement, not a voting boundary.
• Supervisor of Elections — Every Lee County voter votes in it. Countywide.
• County Court Judge, Group 5 — Every Lee County voter votes in it. Elected countywide/at-large. Nonpartisan.
• Circuit Judge, 20th Judicial Circuit — Every Lee County voter votes in it, because the circuit covers five counties. The circuit covers Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee, so every Lee voter votes in these. Nonpartisan, and filed with the state rather than the county.
• School Board, District 1 — Only residents of school board District 1 vote in it. Elected by district / single member.
• School Board, District 4 — Only residents of school board District 4 vote in it. Elected by district / single member.
• School Board, District 5 — Only residents of school board District 5 vote in it. Elected by district / single member.
• Cape Coral Mayor — Only Cape Coral voters vote in it. Every Cape Coral voter votes in it.
• Cape Coral Council, District 1 — Only Cape Coral voters vote in it. Council members qualify by district but are elected at large, so every Cape Coral voter votes in it.
• Cape Coral Council, District 4 — Only Cape Coral voters vote in it. Council members qualify by district but are elected at large, so every Cape Coral voter votes in it.
• Cape Coral Council, District 6 — Only Cape Coral voters vote in it. Council members qualify by district but are elected at large, so every Cape Coral voter votes in it.
• Fort Myers Mayor — Only Fort Myers voters vote in it. Candidates qualify with the City of Fort Myers, not the Supervisor of Elections.
• Fort Myers City Wards 1, 3 and 5 — Only Fort Myers voters vote in it. Candidates qualify with the City of Fort Myers, not the Supervisor of Elections.

On the ballot later, not on August 18

• Bonita Springs Council, Districts 1, 3 and 5 — Elected by district / single member, and only on the November 3 regular election.
• Fort Myers Beach Town Council — Only on the November 3 regular election.
• Fire, mosquito control, library and community development districts — Every independent special district office is nonpartisan and appears only on the November 3 general election ballot. Which ones you get depends on the districts your address sits inside.

A separate question goes to Lee County voters on November 3, 2026: whether to elect county commissioners by single-member district starting in 2028, instead of countywide. It is not on the August 18 ballot.
